Roaming generates revenue when drivers from other networks use your chargers, and creates costs when your drivers use other networks. Spirii acts as the financial intermediary for both: invoicing roaming partners for inbound sessions, and receiving and reconciling invoices from partners for outbound sessions. You set the price; Spirii handles the billing.

Two directions of roaming

Inbound roaming (CPO)

A driver from another network charges on your station. You earn revenue. Spirii invoices the driver’s eMSP or roaming hub and pays you.

Outbound roaming (eMSP)

Your driver charges on another network’s station. You owe that network. Spirii receives their invoice and bills you on a consolidated basis.

Inbound roaming: getting paid

When a driver from an external network charges at one of your stations:
  1. The session is authenticated via a roaming hub or direct connection.
  2. The CDR is generated and shared back to the driver’s eMSP over the same protocol.
  3. Spirii invoices the roaming partner for the session based on the roaming tariff you set for that location in Spirii Connect.
  4. Spirii collects the funds from the roaming partner.
  5. Spirii pays you the session revenue via self-billing invoice.
You enter the roaming tariff gross in Spirii Connect, but the net amount is what you receive per session. It does not include the platform transaction fee that Spirii charges you separately.

Outbound roaming: consolidated billing

When your driver charges on an external network using a Spirii-issued token:
  1. The external network sends Spirii an invoice for the session, based on their pre-agreed rate with Spirii.
  2. Spirii invoices you for the session using the tariff configured by Spirii — this is the price your driver (or their fleet company) pays.
  3. You receive one consolidated invoice from Spirii covering all outbound roaming usage by your drivers, instead of separate invoices from each external network.
