A session is an ongoing or completed charging event. A transaction is the OCPP-level record of it. A finalized session produces a CDR (Charge Detail Record) that drives billing.
What you can do
- Inspect — full meter-value timeline, status changes, authorization details.
- Remote stop — end a session that’s stuck or running too long.
- Remote unlock — release a connector stuck in a locked state.
- Recompute CDR — re-run the tariff against the meter values if pricing needs correcting.
Recomputing a CDR after it’s been exchanged with a roaming partner requires coordination with that partner. Use carefully.
