What Spirii handles

Payments on the Spirii platform work across four distinct channels. Each brings drivers different payment options and CPOs different operational requirements.

In-app payments

Drivers pay through the Spirii app or your branded app. Spirii handles acquiring, VAT, and digital receipts as Merchant of Record.

In-person payments

Contactless card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at the charger. Spirii provides the hardware, software, and acquiring end-to-end.

Token billing

Fleet drivers tap an RFID card or virtual token. With Full Service billing, Spirii consolidates all sessions into a single monthly invoice to the fleet company.

Roaming settlement

Drivers from other networks charge on your stations, or your drivers charge on other networks. Spirii handles all cross-network invoicing and settlement.

When to enable each channel

  • In-App — the default for registered Spirii drivers. Enable it on every location; no additional hardware is required.
  • In-person payments — essential for high-traffic public locations (motorways, retail car parks, destination charging) where you expect drivers who don’t have a charging app. Requires purchasing and installing a Payter Apollo terminal.
  • Token billing — for fleet and corporate customers. Enable Full Service billing if you want Spirii to invoice fleet companies on your behalf. Drivers need an RFID card or virtual token issued by their employer.
  • Roaming — extends your reach to any driver who uses a roaming-enabled eMSP app or card. Enable it on any public location. Set a roaming tariff that covers your costs and margin.

As a CPO

Spirii collects revenue on your behalf and pays it out to you monthly via a self-billing invoice. The payout covers every session across the channels you’ve enabled — app, terminal, token, and roaming. If you share revenue with site owners, Spirii can split and route payouts directly to each party.

As a fleet operator or eMSP

Spirii invoices your company for all charging by your drivers — on the Spirii network and across roaming partners — on a single consolidated bill. For employees charging at home, Spirii automates the reimbursement directly to their bank accounts.
