Spirii Go is Spirii’s charging app for EV drivers. A branded app is the same app in your own identity, published under your own name in the app stores.

Overview

Drivers need somewhere to find a charger, start a session, and pay for it. Spirii builds and maintains one app for that job, and offers it two ways.

Spirii Go

Free for any driver to download, with no agreement or subscription. Point your drivers at it and they can charge on your network today.

A branded app

The same app in your brand, on your own App Store and Google Play listings. Your drivers sign up with you, and the user base is yours.
The functionality is the same in both. What differs is whose brand drivers see, whose store listing they download from, and who holds the relationship with them afterwards.

What drivers can do

A map with search and filtering, showing live availability, price, facilities, and opening hours for each location. Drivers can filter for fast DC charging or for specific operators, get directions to a charger, see when a location is typically busiest, and ask to be notified when an occupied charge point frees up.They can also report a fault on a public charger from the app.
Start and stop a session from the app, or charge anonymously with no sign-up at all. Drivers save a card for future sessions and can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the local methods common in their market.Where you run dynamic pricing, the app shows the price following the market rate. Where a driver holds a voucher, they enter its code to get the access or the price it grants. Drivers can also add a charge key to their account, so sessions on a physical or virtual token land against the same profile.
A full charging history with receipts, consumption tracking, and insight into charging behaviour over time. Drivers can add a VAT ID for business charging, and see the climate impact of charging at different times of day.
Drivers with a validated home charge box can control it from the app: see electricity spot prices ahead of time, schedule charging for the cheapest hours, and switch authentication on or off so the box either starts as soon as a car is plugged in or waits for confirmation. They can also lock the cable to the unit, adjust the LED brightness, and cap the current in amps. Public sharing goes a step further: a driver sets a price on their own charger and makes it available to other drivers, and the energy those drivers pay for is paid out to them.

Spirii Go or your own brand

Both routes put the same app in a driver’s hands. The choice is about ownership. Spirii Go suits an operator without an eMobility arm of its own. There is nothing to build and nothing to maintain, so you can hand drivers a working app immediately, deliver vouchers and home charging through it, and get a network live without becoming an app publisher. You are not locked out of the driver relationship either. Drivers who arrive through one of your onboarding flows are associated with a customer in your hierarchy, so you can manage them from Connect even though the app itself is Spirii’s. A branded app suits an operator building its own eMobility business. Drivers download your app, sign up with you, and accept your terms, which is what makes them yours: your app users, visible and manageable in your own Connect account.

How releases reach a branded app

New features are released in Spirii Go first. They run there, in front of a large driver base, until their impact is understood, and then they reach the branded app portfolio. So a branded app trails Spirii Go by a release or two, and what arrives has been proven at scale rather than shipped untested.

What you can brand

Getting a branded app

Prerequisites. You need your own Apple App Store and Google Play developer accounts. The app is published under your identity, using signing keys you provide, so the listing, the reviews, and the relationship with each store belong to you. Beyond that, you supply the brand assets and details in the table above, then test the app and give final approval before it goes to the stores. Spirii handles the build, the store submissions, and the ongoing releases and maintenance. The app is already translated into most European languages, so a launch in a new market does not wait on translation. Talk to your account manager to start.

Dependencies & limitations

  • Branded apps trail Spirii Go. Features arrive after they have been validated in Spirii Go, so a branded app runs a release or two behind.
  • Home charging needs a validated charge box. Smart home charging works on models Spirii has validated for it, typically Zaptec Go, Easee, and Amina C. Check with Spirii before promising it on other hardware.
  • You own the store accounts. Both developer accounts need to exist before an app can be published, and maintaining them stays with you.
  • A branded app is a subscription. The fee covers development, maintenance, and continuous updates.
If you are weighing a branded app, the app user record is what you would own — start there.

App users

The driver record behind every app account, and who can see it.

Vouchers

Access and pricing you grant to drivers, redeemed in either app.

Branding

Branding Connect for your customers, and the name drivers see for your locations.

Tokens

Physical and virtual charge keys drivers add to their account.
